Grandish Designs

So, we’ve been very busy with our backyard. We may not have finished, but it sure is a lot better than it was when we moved in. It has gone from a hard to navigate jungle, to quite a nice little place to get away from it all.

For instance, the view from next to the shed, out to the yard.

Bit of a difference no? Notice the fine workmanship of the sandpit… the hand sown lawn (a bit patchy still), the ability to see in and out of the windows of the house, the brick edging to the gardens.

Yeah, quite a bit more usable, although currently demonstrating a large area that needs to become lawn rather than dirt.

And one final view which I don’t really have an ‘old’ for.

We still have a vegetable patch to build the sleeper sides for (sleepers ready to go), that higgledy piggledy pile of bricks along the side of the house needs to be properly laid as a path,  more plants have to be put in and grass needs to grow, but it’s taking shape nicely.
